This is the incredibly inspiring story of a group of people who dressed up as superheroes and went on a four month bike ride across the US to give help to anyone who needed it: like a Santa Rampage, but kind-hearted, Buddhist-inspired and with a longer commitment. The interviewee is now based here in the UK.

Google is now allowing you to search the subtitles for a whole range of recent TV, from CBS Morning News to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Just US channels so far, but hopefully the BBC will become contributors?

This BBC documentary series about the Al-Qaida threat is being repeated this week. In case you don’t catch it, there are transcripts online, and you can find downloadable video, Torrent versions and so on via the Information Clearing House. Film-maker Adam Curtis has responded to the controversy created by the first showing last summer. The Guardian have also run a piece on the series.

An excerpt from Lenka Clayton’s film ‘Qaeda, Quality, Question, Quickly, Quickly, Quiet’, which cuts up George Bush’s infamous 50 minute ‘Axis of Evil’ speech, removes the dramatic pauses and applause and puts the complete speech back into alphabetical order (18 minutes in total). Strangely compelling…
