Posted by Martin Poulter on 20 April 2015

This is more beautiful and evocative in practice than the simple idea suggests. From 55 films – many recent; many classic – the opening shot and last shot are presented side by side. It’s accompanied with some of Thomas Newman’s gorgeous music for American Beauty. That film isn’t included in the 55, but there is a full index of films in the description.

When a “Brazilian” results in a Hitler Moustache (featuring Charlie Brooker)

Goths dancing to the Thomas the Tank Engine theme

Posted by Martin Poulter on 9 March 2015

This video has been rather popular on various sites over the past week. Goth kids are funny; goths attempting to dance are funny. Replacing the music they are dancing to with a children’s TV theme is funnier, but it’s just gilding the lily at this point.
