This is one of the moments when you realise how far technology has come (or had come in Nov’01). Listen to the sounds at the bottom of this page: when you record a voice and speed it up to raise the pitch, you get the “munchkin” effect, yet this software is changing the pitch of notes from raw audio, preserving the natural sound and getting the note transitions right. Surely a creative lease of life if you can only sing one note (*cough* Dan).

Arse-related games seem to be very popular, so here is a variation on the classic game “Frogger” but in 3D and with your arse instead of a frog.

This is a question I’ve often asked myself…. Completely by chance a Google search turned up a page entitled “Is Henrik Larsson More Annoying Than Mick Hucknall?” and everything spiraled from there. (archived link on archive.org) Enjoy.

This is one of the most strange, wonderful and slightly frightening things I’ve seen on the net. Choose a creature, alter its proportions and choose or create a repetitive animated movement. It is programmed to a worryingly professional standard. Why? Why? WHY?

Some time ago I mentioned the white-knuckle sport that is Cheese Racing. I think this site was sent to me by Ian originally but it’s clearly an Olympic exhibition sport of the future:
