Gay Day and Queer Night

Probably the most twisted piece of literary genius I’ve ever seen begins a couple of minutes into this video. It features two poets reciting poetry created under strict constraints. In “Gay Day”, Tim Clare graphically describes a gay sexual encounter while depriving himself of the vowels E, I, O and U (a univocalic poem). Ross Sutherland translates it into “Queer Night” which avoids using the letter A (a lipogram). Filth, but wonderfully cerebral filth of the highest order.
