Movie soundtracks atomised and re-built

Posted by Martin Poulter on 1 May 2010

Pogo is a young man from Western Australia, each of whose musical compositions are created entirely from the sounds of a different film.  The melody often comes from many individual syllables put together, giving a fractured effect similar to the work of DJ Todd Edwards. The results vary from bland background music to gorgeous and uplifting, with “Lost” and “SplurgenShitter” being particularly lush. Download his tracks for free on or watch videos on YouTube:

Alice (from Disney’s Alice in Wonderland)

Skynet Symphonic (from Terminator 2) (give this one a minute to get going)

Upular (from Pixar’s Up)
