Another site ‘translator’ but quite amusing if you were ever a fan of the A-Team.

Your evening’s television, part 2

Posted by Martin Poulter on 9 December 2003

Old, but worth archiving, one of my favourite bits of PhotoShop humour, from Finx at SomethingAwful. What’s cool is how you learn so much about the man in the suit. This deserves to be the epoch-making 200th DnC blog post!

The Joy of One-Liners

Posted by Martin Poulter on 9 December 2003

“It’s easy to sit there and say you’d like to have more money. And I guess that’s what I like about it. It’s easy. Just sitting there, rocking back and forth, wanting that money.”

“When I was a kid, my favourite relative was Uncle Caveman. After school we’d all go play in his cave, and every once in a while he would eat one of us. It wasn’t until later that I found out that Uncle Caveman was a bear.”

“I bought my brother some gift-wrap for Christmas. I took it to the Gift Wrap Department and told them to wrap it, but in a different print so he would know when to stop unwrapping.”

The comedy genius of Jack Handey and Stephen Wright!

Wow Cards

Posted by Martin Poulter on 9 December 2003

Ian Rowland is a convincing mind-reader, spoon-bender and maker of impossible objects, all the time admitting that nothing paranormal is involved. This part of his site shows off his “Wow cards”- cards folded, without cutting, into shapes that appear to be completely impossible. This stuff does my head in.

The Pygmy Shrew

This is an old one, but worth blogging for posterity. A David-Attenborough-alike tells the tale of the pretty futile life of the world’s smallest mammal.
