Why I wuv xkcd

It’s not actually a Linux application. It’s in lots of people’s “best of the web”. It’s unashamed in its references to maths, physics, computer programming and general geekery. It’s often hilarious. xkcd provided us with the Map of Online Communities, and here’s a personal selection of comics:
The Difference (thanks, Ed M.), Keyboards are Disgusting, Cat Proximity, Romantic Drama Equation, Hypotheticals

My favourite.
I read a few other web comics for a while, finally deciding that they were largely just not that good, and bought The Complete Calvin and Hobbes instead.
However, xkcd and The Perry Bible Fellowship still get a look-in. PBF is less geeky, more twisted and has great variety of art style. Worth checking out.

BTW, with xkcd make sure you hover over the image for an alternate punchline.

Thanks, Tom. I hadn’t seen that.
