Videos of Stephen Colbert as the guest speaker at the White House Correspondents Dinner, where he was suitably honoured to be sharing the stage with his hero George W. Bush, in fact there were 2 of them.

In the Beta tradition of finding a game to play each week, why not spend some time collecting bubbles here. (Needs Flash 8 or higher)

Thanks to Karla for forwarding this clubbing-themed funny (PowerPoint show, 1Meg, contains pictures of scantily-clad women). Apologies to our friends in the North.

If like me you find the “beautiful game” to be less than skin deep in its appeal you will probably dread the onset of various cups and championships we seem to be facing. This clip from Radio 4 ’s That Mitchell and Webb Sound is exactly how I experience football. So much so that my laughter was interspersed with sobs.

Funniest Flash game I’ve seen in a long time. This is the one where you (as a suited man) smash down walls of ice with your fist. Found via MetaFilter.

Thanks to GlittrGirl for drawing attention to another art project by Bill Drummond. The 17 is an approach to music/sound that takes freedom and improvisation to the extreme: no words, no instruments, no time signature, no copyright, no recordings, no musical notation…

www.celebrities-eating.com is pics of celebrities, eating. Yes, really. Fascinating though, a bit like stuffonmycat.com which has been blogged here before.

Taking part in this millennium’s much anticipated “Random Festival of Improvisation” at the Cube cinema last Thursday were your very own Ale and Martin as one half of experimental group Meleliale. Here then is their set as they try to extract the unusual from the mundane by mixing sound effects/video/improvised music/spoken word and theatrics (you can’t see scissors or the huge inflatable farm animals in this mp3 version, sadly). http://acer.ilrt.bris.ac.uk/~ale/music/elianmel/30032006.html
