I’m blogging these folks’ site as thanks for making Saturday night fantastic. They took over the Watershed bar as part of RESFest with their incredible danceable video mash-ups, combining film excerpts and pop videos including Missy Elliot, Nirvana, the Muppets, the Chemical Brothers, Miss Dynamite, the Darkness and dozens more. Their DVD is quite good too.
Warning: Flash site annoyance.

Caught this documentary at the Cube – it’s a great film about the controversy stirred up in the highly conservative state of Utah by the visit of Michael Moore to a college campus.

Sadly it hasn’t secured a national distribution deal, but the screenings page does contain exclusive interviews with a penis and a squirrel!

Echo Chamber Project is an open source, investigative documentary about how the television news media became an uncritical echo chamber to the Executive Branch leading up to the war in Iraq.

An interesting use of new technology to get at something which is close to our way of thinking.

This week’s funniest thing on the internet is this rant from James-Brown soundalike preacher Rev. Willie F. Wilson (3 minute MP3). He’s outraged by a modern chain of events which is destroying society: women earn more money than men; so women become lesbian; so his son can’t get a girl to take to the prom, except the two ugly straight girls; so God gets real angry.
Oddest is that he’s clearly totally confused about what lesbians actually do with each other.

Not for the squeamish… this definitely falls under the category of “anything which provokes thought” even if it’s not real!! My main thoughts being “eeeuuugghhhh!!!” and “why?”
