We Have Decided Not to Die

I’ve just come from the Bristol opening of RESFest film festival, which has been one of the best fivers that I’ve ever spent. Several short films in the programme are destined to become classics. One of these is the abstract but visually stunning We Have Decided Not to Die. A small abridged version is available in Quicktime.
Another highlight, and also originating from Australia, was Ward 13, a claymation as funny and well put together as Wallace and Gromit, but with twisted sadistic violence. The official site has trailers, but sell your own family to get this on video.
Finally, Oedipus the Movie recreates the classic story using vegetable produce, and is played completely straight. Again, the official site has stills and production notes but not the film itself. Three more days of film festival to go!
